This involves looking after clients artwork, designing new artwork, making printing 'plates', working with the print production manager and also, you probably guessed . . . looking after the network of computers, laser and inkjet printers, our internet bits, the ftp server etc etc!

I write intelligent CCTV software for Windows:

This includes maintaining the website/CCTV Shop, writing the C++ core modules, the Java web view applet and the iPhone Apps.

(I also do technical support and the occasional bit of telephone sales)

I do a very similar job to Andy (we both went to Print college together), mainly creating/reprographics for packaging oriented print.

So when you eat your Pizza/Ready Meals or watch a DVD next time, I most likely had a hand in creating the packaging that made you buy it in the first place :)

A technical author for a software house that does insurance stuff (programs, websites etc.).  There's three of us, two spend most of their time doing the 'F1' type of help whilst I mostly do the internet sites - crafting up the documents that define how a client's website will look & feel compared to our 'template' site.  Plus other odds & sods.

Oh, and a pedantic sod when it comes to spotting smelling pistakes :)
Sarcastic Git plc!  Also can be found on Atari-Forum.com, CPC Wiki forum, GBA / NDS hacking forum and a few other places.  I'm also one of the main Twitter personages for RCM :)

Been in IT all my working life in a variety of Tech Support, Project Management and IT Management roles. Took VR from my job last year as I fancied a bit of a change from a large corporate environment, so been bitting and bobbing for a while trying out a few different ideas and will probably end up running my own business in some form within the next 3-6 months or so...

Initially I trained to be an electronic engineer, but there weren't enough jobs available round here for that sort of thing, so I re-trained as a computer engineer.

I currently offer technical support in a school, teach programming on a voluntary basis, and I'm training to become an iPhone programmer.
