Hello everyone I'm Gary and represent the Demon Gamers (LAN Gaming Society of De Montfort University) as their Gaming Officer Cheesy

I've visited the past two RCM events and you'll be seeing more of me in the future, hopefully I can contribute any software/hardware to the growing museum.

Quote from: Lily~Chan
I adore Linkin Park, and lots of other bands. I'm currently setting up my own forum, for mature teenagers who are sick of being on forums run by 13 year old brats.
Erm, wana know more then ask, since i cant be borthered to write my life story for ya Tongue
Hey there lily~chan there are loads of online discussion boards out there which aren't necessarily run by 13 year old trolls, otherwise it's always enjoyable to argue why band x is better than band y and so on. Kerrang's website has a vivid community you may wish to check out?

Best of luck with your upcoming forum,
Gary K

Hi Everyone ! Smiley

My is Alex and I live in Oxfordshire, UK with my wife, Mary. I've been a fan of all things retro for many years and have loved the Commodore side of computing since 1983, when my father bought me a Commodore 64 from then electrical high street store, Rumblelows. Historically, I've owned a Commodore 64 (Breadbin), A500, A500+ and A1200. Although I don't own any retro hardware or software anymore, I still have a passion for it's history. Retro events help bring back all the nostalgia of days gone by and help relive them in the present day(s).

During my spare time, I like to design homebrew / indie games. Mostly using Game Maker, since version 5.3a to the current version 8.0. Please feel free to visit my website, which will give you an idea of my past, present and current projects. [ www.arisfamily.co.uk/alex ]

Best Regards,

Alex. =8¬)

Hello,
I'm Martin.  I met Andy and Dave on Sunday when, rather to my suprise they appeared on my doorstep following an email that I sent on Saturday offering some of the stuff that had found its way into my attic over the years.
I started with Spectrums and Beebs in the mid 70's and on until we spent a fortune on an Archimides for work ( which I didn't like ).  My thing was trying to make ordinary computing accessible for people with disabilities - anyone who worked in special Ed will cringe at some of the software, it was sooo twee! We had Horace skiing controlled by an infra red stick and all sorts of switches throwing dice at Trivial Pursuit - and the things that we made a BBC say!
Anyhow, I hope that the stuff in the boxes raised a smile or a groan and took Andy and Dave back a few years ( or more likely days for them ) and will help the RCM do its thing.
Best wishes,
Martin ( sorry couldn't think of a cool nom de screen.

Welcome Steve.

Ah - the 5150 - a proper PC!

I used to have one in my collection many years ago bit it was rusty from being stored in a damp shed by the previous owner. Floppy drive was broke. Never got the time to fix it. This was before I took the computer collection seriously. I would probably have made the effort now to fix it.

I still have my 5170 (AT) which still works perfectly.
