have no idea if it works or not, got any bits for it about so I can find out?

the grandstand Fairchild is a licensed version of the Fairchild Channel F, the first videogame with games on cartridges.

The controller is a bit special. It has a DB9 plug (same as Atari/Commodore) but it's not compatible.
The channel F controller has some special moves that a regular Atari joystick doesn't.

With this you can go forward, backward, left and right. just as a regular 8-bit stick. But you can also press down and pull up the knob as well as turn the knob left or right.

I have one Grandstans Fairchild as well as a couple of other versions of it. It's a nice old machine. And you should really try to get hold of the newly produced Pac-Man for it. It's by far the best game for that platform.

I have one of those sticks kicking around somewhere, I did wonder what it was for, but I thought it was atari!

Looking at it It looks like I have to import to get games for it.
Not going to collect for it, just want to see if it works

It was quite a shock to see it in those little creates those people put assorted junk in to sell.
To think the guy probably got it out of a house clearance
