Sunday openings . . .
« on: April 13, 2012, 08:25:35 PM »
The Retro Computer Museum are pleased to announce that we will be open from 11.00am to 4.00pm most Sundays from the 29th April (inclusive). However some Sundays will be taken up with other events elsewhere - we will post dates that we will be closed in this thread.
However you will need to pre-book by paying for a ticket(s) - via paypal (see 'donate' button on the forums pages) - however there are strictly limited places available. When booking please advise how many tickets and which Sunday you wish to visit. Remember entrance will be by ticket only. Please remember to print out your e-ticket(s) when you receive your confirmation email.
Ticket prices are £6 for adults and £3 for children (under 16) - of course if you enjoy yourselves and wish to donate more on the day we will be very happy to accommodate you.
Light refreshments will be available on the day at reasonable prices.

The RCM Admin Team

DUE TO A COUPLE OF DONATIONS TO PICK UP WE WILL BE OPEN AGAIN at 2.30pm on SUNDAY THE 2ND SEPTEMBER

Can you turn everything up so that it's louder than everything else.

Good question - probably something we need to make a little clearer in the 1st post.

To pay for tickets and inform us of your intended visit date, please click on the "Donate" button in the top left corner of this page - put the date you intend to visit into the payment comments. Once payment is accepted you will be issued with an e-ticket.

If you want to discuss date(s) prior to payment - then a PM or email to AndyRCM (andy@retrocomputermuseum.co.uk) should work nicely.

Thanks for the info.
Probably working away for the first couple of weekends, but will get there ASAP.
Hope the grand opening goes well.

Could I suggest that you have an obvious Tab or Link on your homepage advertising the sunday openings.
A few people I have mentioned it to couldn't find the info, and thought it was a private collection.
Unless you know to look in the forums, it is not easy to find out the info for newcomers.
A few people have asked me if they can use the machines! They thought it was a static display with just a couple of items powered up when not doing the shows.

Also, may be worth having a "We are Open this Sunday/ We are not open this Sunday" message box before people book tickets.

Hope this helps.  Keep up the good work. :D
