I am looking at starting a youtube channel for RCM. I think it could help draw extra traffic to the website, forums and ultimatly the museum.
I was thinking we could do highlights on different systems and software, updates on equipment (VR restoration diary maybe?) and instructional videos such as repairs and setting up cabs. Plus do some event videos (just in time for play!)
I'm happy to all the production work but I would like it if you guys could give input for content and also take part in the filming.
I have the basics to put this together but I could also do with some extra equiment to make it easier and i'm not sure if we already have access to it.
Here's the wishlist!
Some kind of gopro, good for strapping to someones head for instructional videos
High quality DV video camera with external mic input
Video capture device to grab video directly from systems
I will also need hires or vector versions of the logo and the system list we have on the left of the site. I can then composite some nice elements.
So let me know your ideas and if you would like to feature in any of the videos!
Sounds like a great idea, not sure how much I can help, but with regards to caturing video is something like this anygood ?
Never used one of these, but cheap enough to give a try and quite a few of our systems output composite.
Nice one . . . 😉 I don't mind being in the videos (!) 😛
I have attached .eps versions of the logo and branding logo in a zip file - if you need anything else please shout! 😉

I have always been thinking about video diaries of VR work... but never got round to it as I just get onto the work! lol
I have set up the RCM youtube account.
If you want to be an admin let me know, all I need is your e-mail address.
I also need to verify the web address so will need someone to add a html file to the root of the website.
