Nothing major but they're donations for RCM so will be 'in the pile' that's brought down 😉

Several sites to choose from:
a) Word Toolbox Add-In - for any power Word user
b) My old hacking stuff of yore
c) Preserving old photographic slides found at car boots!

A simple guide to 68000 coding (c/o Keith)

That TV Boy - coming soon to a destroy-a-thon at the next RCM HQ meeting.
A Bubble Bobble/Taito themed plastic card wallet (to replace my knackered Spectrum one) - both from Steve

Some classic (i.e. ancient Psion / Sinclair titles) Speccy titles to mess around with on the DivIDE so I can learn the LOAD * stuff all over again - courtesy of a donation to RCM's funds.

Micro Rhythm on the C64 (again, c/o a donation to RCM's funds)

I think I spent more on coffee and beer than I did retro items 🙂

A few unboxed SNES games turned up today. Bought especially for use when the Mega STE is imaging up disks onto the UltraSatan 😉

*update* An hour later the stuff I bought as a donation for RCM finally turned up too.

Some nice original C64 disks (classics too) turned up in work today c/o eBay.

Pawn by Rainbird (2 disks)
Fast Hack 'Em (Datel UK version, already have the US version + cartridge one .. from a seller in Stockport!)
Hacker (Activision)
Championship Wrestling (US Gold)
Forbidden Forest (Audiogenic re-issue)
Summer Games II & Winter Games (Epyx)
Knight Games

all unboxed but ready for my Kryoflux preservation project whenever I find that box of 5.25" drives I've got knocking about somewhere.

Seller also bundled a wad of 'homebrew' disks for the C64 as well as a 3.5" disk box .. ho hum, another one for the pile!

Ooops - also forgot another C64 set of disks from last week:  The Go Crazy compilation by US Gold including: Bad Cat, Desolator,Side Arms, Bedlam, Shackled and Jinks .. J.J.J. Jinks (those SID tune fans will recognise this classic from Huelsbeck!) 🙂

If I remember correctly you could buy one from W. H. Smiths. I had to go to the Leicester branch and get a set of diskettes for one for work because the Nottingham branch couldn't supply any.

I also seem to remember that the interrupt for the BIOS (or was it the DOS) was changed from 21 to 22 causing all sorts of problems for software.

Just picked up an Atari 1040ST-E from an old workmate. Went round to collect, and was pleasantly surprised when the first box out the shed, was the machine in its original box/packing, with dust cover 🙂 Then another box (very heavy) full with floppy disks, disk boxes, and original boxed games and cables. Also in the box were an external floppy drive, and a external 'Reference 40' 40mb hard drive (complete with what looks like an Amiga A500 PSU). At first I thought all the floppy's in the 2 main cases were just copies, until I noticed another box (a large soap powder box) with all the manuals, covers etc. all in the box! Will have to change all the plugs as he was in the forces before I knew him, so all the plugs are European (although there is a 4-way Euro plug, with a standard UK plug (but nothing is earthed!)
Haven't even had time to power it up yet (!!!!!) as the twins woke up just as I was in the process... so put it away as they would probably strip the keyboard in 3 seconds flat!
The cost for this was a hefty £0, but I think a case of beer for him for his generosity is due... Since he also mentioned that he had a C64 and possible a VIC-20 up the loft too :O I am soooo jealous!!!!!!
Really wish I didn't have to go to work tonight now 🙁
Have taken some pics and will upload them to my collection as soon as I can.

Nothing too exciting from this weekend - a few PS2 games, an EA Sports "Double-Header" MegaDrive cart, and a mint-condition ZX81 Basic Programming manual from a car boot.

But tomorrow I should be getting a nice delivery.

two minidisk decks! CD -> minidisk, quite cool

annoyingly though neither of them can detect the silence between tracks on records. Or pause when the record finishes. So you get a 70 min track, 20 mins of which is the record, then 50 mins of silence. Wheres the use in that??

Also realised I don't own a single CD. Off to poundland we go...
