Hello, I live in Leicestershire found the retro computer museum on facebook. Visited the museum recently, took me back to my childhood. Thankyou for being custodians of our retro tech. 🙂
Born in 1970 my first taste of electronic gameing was the Binatone about 1980?, then came the Spectrum 48k in 1983. I remember my Dad taking me to try and buy a Spectrum all they had was the 16k version as the 48k was sold out. As a good will gesture the store loaned me a Oric 1 48k, until the Speccy was back in stock.
Then i had a C64 with 1541 drive, followed by the Amiga 500 in 1990. Then it was the turn of the mighty Amiga A1200, had that machine for a number of years fantastic computer I had loads of games and demos on that thing.
It was about 1998 when I was introduced to PC gameing. I entered a competition in the Daily Express newspaper and actualy won a Viglen Pc, cant remember now if it was a 486 or P166. Still playing computer games now in 2021 on a PC. 🙂
