At SPSPG we aim to provide a high staffing ratio of qualified staff to children, to ensure that the children have
sufficient individual attention and to guarantee care and education of a high quality. We have five regular members of
staff in daily; this helps us to provide continuity and a consistency of care to all. We also work on a staff to child
ratio that is in line with the Welfare Requirements as stipulated in the Statutory Framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

At present four members of playgroup staff have NVQ level II and two members have NVQ level III in childcare.

All members of staff have Enhanced CRB Disclosures.

All of the staff have paediatric first aid qualifications. Three members are qualified in ‘Safeguarding Children’.
